every pump room is fitted with minimum two bilge suction valves which are located near the pump-room entrance connected to stripping pump or eductor, the valves are always kept open.Aditionally the pump room is also fitted with bilge level alarms, which sound in the bridge, CCR and ECR or UMS panel.
