Q.What maintenance is done on anchor chain in the dry dock ?

1. Chipping and sandblasting to remove rusty parts

2. Take measurement about link's diametres, discard if any link is below minimum diametres required

3. If there is any link's stud is missing or dislocated, weld it back to the center (take attention to weld only one face position to avoid material fatigue)

4. Check any defect/broken on whole anchor chain, then replace it with new part (e.g swivel, kenter shackle, or anchor shackle). Make sure they are normally function (no stucked, jammed, entangled, or loose)

5. After complete, paint the anchor chain with bituminous black.
